Senior's slo-pitch to start play

A Lower Mainland senior’s slo-pitch league is set to begin play this week – weather permitting, of course – and is still on the lookout for interested players.

The league has 17 teams – nine west of the Fraser River, and eight on the east side, including five at Softball City and one each in Cloverdale, Langley and North Delta – and is for women who are 50-plus and men who are 55 or above.

The league plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., and after every game, the home team provides lunch for both sides.
