All-star honour for Salisbury
Another goaltender from Surrey is an all-star in university female hockey.
Taylor Salisbury of the McGill Martlets was named to the RSEQ (Réseau du Sport Etudiant du Québec) first all-star team.
In her fourth season with McGill, Salisbury started 12 of 20 games in the regular season, and won all 12. She led the league in shutouts with three and save percentage (.924), and her 1.58 goals against average was second only to teammate Andrea Weckman.
The Martlets won all 20 regular season games, but lost the best-of-three championship series to the Montreal Carabins.
Last week, Sienna Cooke of the St. Mary’s Huskies was named the AUS (Atlantic University Sports) first all-star team.
