Curlers defend title

Seaquam Secondary defended their B.C. high school provincial championship in Parksville last month, going 6-1 in round robin play before defeating Chilliwack Secondary 8-2 after seven ends in a tiebreaker game.

Grade 9 skip Sarah Daniels shot 96.4 per cent in the final game, leading her Grade 12 teammates to the provincial title.

Other team members include Katrina Bauer, Heather Sinclair, Megan Bourassa and Megan Daniels. Ernie Daniels was the team’s coach.
