Surging ahead of her teammate Laysha Tunti (right), South Fraser Track and Field Club member Lana Sabet wins the girls’ 200-metre dash (age 11) at the South Fraser Track and Field Club’s annual Junior Olympics track meet at Bear Creek Park on May 18.

More than 200 nine to 13-year-old athletes from various clubs across the Lower Mainland attended the two-day meet.

South Surrey-based Ocean Athletics won the Team Aggregate for the boys, while the Langley Mustangs won for the girls.

The event also included several Track Rascals events for children aged six to eight.
