Gill will wrestle in Glasgow

Arjun Gill of Surrey is among 14 athletes named by Wrestling Canada to compete at the Commonwealth Games next month in Glasgow, Scotland.

Gill, 23, is a graduate of North Surrey Secondary and is the current national champion in the 97 kg. class.

He also won the 2011 Canadian Junior Championship.

“There is a high level of excitement and anticipation for the Commonwealth Games by our team,” said Wrestling Canada executive director Tamara Medwidsky.

“The team, including athletes, coaches and support staff, represents some of the best in Canadian wrestling.”
