Heat unbeaten at U14 Fastpitch Jamboree

The Delta Heat '01 won a gold medal in the Open Division at the U14 Canadian Girls Fastpitch Jamboree at Softball City.

The Delta Heat also added a gold medal in the Open Division at the U14 Canadian Girls Fastpitch Jamboree at Softball City last weekend.

The Heat '01 girls won all six round robin games, then defeated the Prince Edward Island Halthorn Global Eagles 13-2 in a semifinal game. Delta topped the Palmerston Marlins of Ontario 8-1 in the final.

In the Cup Division, the Surrey Storm went 2-3 in group play before losing 4-2 to the Brampton Blazers in the first playoff round.

The White Rock Renegades were undefeated in seven round robin and playoff games until they fell 5-1 to the Smitty's Terminators in the Cup Division final. The  Terminators, from Manitoba, went 2-3 in group play then won five straight playoff contests to claim the national championship.
